It's been over a year since the Underground opened up and the monsters living under the earth swarmed to the surface in their thousands. The human and monster governments are taking their sweet time coming to any kind of agreement regarding monster rights and citizenship, but for the most part, in the less politically-active parts of the nation, life continues as it always has. In your sleepy little town, there are bills to be paid, tables to be waited, and few to no adventures to be found. So when two skeleton monsters move into the empty house near the café where you work, you welcome the changes they bring with them. You knew if you let them into your life they'd make interesting friends. What you didn't expect was that getting to know these remarkable strangers would be like coming home.

It had been a couple months since your little sister went missing. Guess how surprised you were to see her on the news with the headline "Young Girl Helps Monsters Escape". When you meet the friends she made in the underground you can help but to love all of them, especially a skeleton with a love for puns and stars. Ever since you were little, you dreamed of being on stage and dancing to your hearts content. You were determined to get where you wanted. All spot lights on you, people cheering and clapping as your feet swept across the stage. You were so close. 1 day away and you would have all of your dreams come true. Then everything was lost when the plane you was on crashed. You lost all feeling in your legs and lower body. So now, instead of living up to your dream you promised yourself would come true, you watch from a balcony. Instead of dancing like you wanted to, you got the complete opposite. Now all you can do is watch the monsters dance on what was to be your stage. ---- "You can dance. I can cry." "So let's make a tear jerking performance." ----

The Gods live among themselves in a separate realm from the land of the mortals. Keeping the balance maintained was their only job, as the hierarchy of power, though few knew who they actually were. With the disappearance of Life, a great power vacuum had been opened, and Death was the main target, holding the great power surge. He cannot under any circumstances let them burst, or the human will be killed, along with Life's power and the balance. But most importantly, Death cannot get attached, or she will be killed for sure.
