The name of the town should've been her first hint. 'Mystic Falls' It was like she was asking for trouble. TVD S1-4 (OC ~ MJ Ruiz): Kol x OC Some mature content; it will be labelled appropriately :)

In 1864, as the fires of hatred consumed Mystic Falls, Arabella Salvatore's world shattered into pieces. Hidden in the shadows, she watched her brothers, Stefan and Damon, gunned down in the mud. Her father, Giuseppe, his hands stained with the blood of his own sons, forced her into silence with a poisonous lie: he told her they were dead, traitors to their name, and dragged her away into a forced exile. Arabella left convinced she had left only graves behind, unaware that Katherine's blood was already pulling her brothers into an eternity of darkness. Years later, turned into a vampire against her will and alone in the world, Arabella crosses paths with the dangerous Klaus Mikaelson. A visceral obsession ignites between them; she is the only one capable of "sculpting" the Hybrid's heart, but for Klaus, love is a lethal vulnerability. In an act of ruthless compulsion, he wipes every memory of their bond, condemning her to an existence without roots. Now, the pull of blood brings her back to Mystic Falls. Reunited with Stefan and Damon, the very foundation of her reality is shaken, but the fragile family peace explodes when Klaus returns to town. Arabella does not remember their past, but a primal hatred courses through her veins. She is no longer the fragile sister of old; she is the weapon the Salvatores have been waiting for. Alongside her brothers, Arabella is done seeking love: she has become the nightmare that will hunt the King. SEASONS 2-5 The Vampire Diaries.

When Kol woke up after being daggered a century, he couldn't wait to leave Mystic Falls and his siblings behind. What Kol hadn't expected was to find an annoying young woman living in his older brother's house; even less did he expect said woman to possess a magic so fascinating that he simply couldn't leave until he'd found out what hid behind those innocent blue eyes.
