Seeing the look in his eyes, she knew there was no way that anything she'd heard was a lie. "Clint... What happened?" Natasha couldn't find it in herself to pull away from him, even if she had wanted to, and she gently ran her hands up his arms in an attempt to comfort him, letting them come to a rest on his shoulders as she closed her eyes tightly, trying to fight off her emotions and the tears that were bound to come with them.
