Some walls aren't meant to stay up forever. Meerab Malik has spent a decade perfecting the art of keeping her emotions close to her chest. She's successful, independent, and completely over her first heartbreak-or so she thinks. But when fate brings her face-to-face with her family friend, the reason why her heart broke into pieces all those years ago, the years of careful emotional construction threaten to come undone. Murtasim Khan remembers the brilliant girl who used to hide behind books and oversized clothes. What he doesn't expect is the stunning woman who can hold her own in designer clothing and sharp comebacks. Intrigued by her transformation and determined to scratch this new veneer, he's not backing down-even when she acts more adversarial than friendly. When old wounds resurface alongside undeniable attraction, Meerab must decide whether to risk her carefully guarded heart. Will she let herself be drawn into his world-deeper than she ever imagined, faster than she's prepared for? Or will the memory of being invisible to him prove stronger than the fire burning between them now? **This story will eventually have mature themes. Please read at your own discretion.**

This story is after Murtasim comes to know of his sister's kidnapping and feeling betrayed at his wife's actions. But this Murtasim, though still emotional but is not as stupid. Also in this, Haya had not accepted her role to Meerab either and did not have the conversation with Maa Begum as Maa Begum was too stressed to think about anything but her daughter. And this Meerab unlike the one in the drama has a conscience and is able to understand when she is in the wrong. One of the few things I loved about Meerab's character at the beginning was that she NEVER apologized when she was NOT in the wrong, so I realized that a person like that WILL DEFINETLY apologize when she is in the wrong because to her apology is not a means to get out of a situation or ease through a difficult conversation, to her apology meant understanding the mistake and actually working towards correcting it. But alas! Drama had to destroy the essence of her character by that stupid Haya misunderstanding and slapping and spitting track, which was absolutely disgusting. They had essentially Killed Meerab's character then and there, because Meerab's morals from the episode 1/2 would not allow her to do that.

Murtasim is a shadow in human form - cold, precise, and utterly heartless, a man who moves through darkness, leaving death in his wake. Everything is as it should be... until one night, Meerab, a bright and full of life florist, accidentally witnesses him commit a murder. In that single, fleeting moment, their lives collide, and the line between hunter and prey begins to blur. Secrets, danger, and desire intertwine as they are drawn into a deadly game - where trust could kill, survival is never guaranteed, and the heart is the most dangerous weapon of all.

In episode 23, Meerab's hand were adorned with gajra " Beautiful" said Murtasim And then the story goes AU-) Bas, ek gajra hi bewafa nikla - toot ka gira aur saath hi Meerab ka entire self-control bhi. Gajra - 1, Contract 0 She narrowed her eyes. "Don't you dare mock me, Murtasim. You gave me your word!" He stood then, towering over her in that infuriatingly composed way, his voice calm but teasing. "I did. And I kept it." Her jaw dropped. "You-what?!" "I didn't break the contract, Meerab," he said, bending slightly so they were eye to eye. "You did." She gaped at him, speechless. "I-what-no! I did not!" He smiled that lazy, devastating smile again. "Everything that happened last night..." His voice dropped, gentle but edged with wicked amusement. "It was with your consent."

The desert heat of the 1960s Sindh province wrapped around Murtasim Khan like a second skin, a constant reminder of the unforgiving land that had bred him. His eyes, a piercing shade of brown, surveyed the horizon from atop his steadfast steed, as the beast's rhythmic breathing synced with the pulse of the parched earth beneath them. Murtasim's sharp features, carved by the relentless sun and a life of hardship, bore witness to countless battles and the weight of his people's hope. His lean, muscular frame was a canvas of dust and sweat, a silent declaration of his unwavering allegiance to the Shehsawar-e-Azadi, the rebels who called the desolate valleys their home. The valley sprawled below them, a stark contrast to the opulent palaces of the nawabs that dotted the landscape like gleaming jewels amidst the desert's poverty. His thoughts drifted to Meerab, the ethereal beauty whose name alone could stir the hearts of men and whose fate was bound to the very fabric of their feud. Engaged to Shahzeb, the union was a strategic move by her father, Altaf Ahmed, to strengthen the chains of oppression that held the peasants in check. What will happen when the paths of Murtasim, the fiery rebel, and Meerab, the jewel of the oppressive Nawab family, cross?
