A lot of people, especially middle and high schoolers, struggle with being bullied. As someone who has been both a bully and a victim of such behavior, I have unique insight into the real reasons people bully and the effect it has on victims.

Life in Huntington Beach, California seems to be perfect. So perfect that Avery can't believe that it's even happening. She has a great new life with her boyfriend, Wesley and her three closest friends; Keaton, Drew, and Adrianna. Everything seems to be going her way. So, of course she's ecstatic when she finds out that her favorite boys make it past the X Factor auditions. But what happens when the entire school finds out that the boys are going to be famous? She becomes great friends with Selene's kids, Adrianna and Owen, and together they meet the Boys of Emblem3. Avery becomes close to Wesley, and she immediately realizes that he's different from any guy she's ever met. Many obstacles test the couple's relationship, but ultimately their trust in eachother is what pulls them through. That is, until an unexpected visitor turns Avery's world upside down... A/N: This book takes place about a year before Emblem3 decided to audition for X Factor. Before auditioning for XF, Emblem3 was going to audition for America's Got Talent, but they decided the competition wasn't for them so they bailed on the audition. This is why AGT is mentioned in some of the later chapters. No worries guys, I know they didn't actually audition for AGT!
