Most common characters in fiction. Learn them before it's too late! During my time as an editor there are several characters that I find myself reading about. Again. And again. And Again. I present them to you now in all their glory, with the hope that you might find this information useful. Stock characters can be good characters, if you can make them unique. What you have here is a field guide of common characters with their common traits. Use this to help you learn what's normal, and how to take that and make your favorite characters more unique!

The guide for aspiring fiction writers who want to improve, sharpen, review, and/or learn. Warning! This book encourages editing and contains many tips that often require revision. Practice makes perfect, and it's good to workout your mental muscles. The more you do now, the better your writing will be later (because you'll correct yourself *before* you get it on paper). In light of the abundance of "How to get noticed on Wattpad" tips that mainly focused on promoting one's self, sticking to a "TV show" style of updating stories, basically catering to the needs of a larger audience, I've decided to create a writing style based guide book that will really help writers out there to find their own voice and improve their writing to its best potential. This guide book will cover everything, from plot to developing characters to different writing styles. I will also cover positive approaches to dealing with cliches. Not the "avoid this, avoid that" kind of thing; I was thinking looking at a trite plot element and using the "how can I pull this off" approach. After this book has completed, I will be officially coming back to critiquing stories, this time I'll do weekly critiques of three (3) completed books per week. Every book that passes my test (gets a score of 70% or higher) will be featured in a book called "Wattpad's Greatest Hits." Keep in mind that even though I try to come off as objective as possible, I may still be putting tips that are opinion-based. This is about writing, as I think of it. Subjects covered will range from plot aspects to characterization, writing craft to just surviving as a writer. Mainly, Part 1 is a comprehensive list of things to do in order to create and maintain tension.
