He stood there looking like a god. I should know, I've spent most of my life with them. The only thing crippling his perfection was the slut wrapped around his big, tan, muscular body. I took a deep breath, his scent was intoxicating. He's a werewolf, an alpha at that. His piercing dark brown eyes starring into my blue-green ones. They first filled with adoration, lust and longing. Then recognition. Disgust and hate too, yet there was always longing. The longing that only comes from a true mate, the longing caused by the most primitive part of a werewolf, their wold. I knew my mate would reject me, even before I found him. I knew it would be just my luck that if I did find the man who is supposed to love me for the rest of my life I would have my heart ripped out and stomped on. Before he could put it in human friendly terms I spoke up," You're going to reject me, aren't you?" He looks shocked when my words finally register but rebounds with a vicious smirk. "So, you know what I am? That makes things easier, for me." He sneers. "Yes, I, Jake Smitt, reject you, human, as my Luna and mate." My composure did not falter at his heartbreaking words and that would seem strange to most, however, I was taught at an early age to hide my feelings, no matter how strong or painful, when facing an enemy. And this 'Jake Smitt' just became our enemy. My wolf whimpers in pain at the thought. On the outside I was calm and collected while my thoughts and emotions were in constant turmoil. He was probably more shocked by my words than my blank face when I replied confidently," I accept your rejection!" Smiling, I turn around, ready to continue to my last class. Before I got out of human earshot he replies, "Good, I don't know how I'd be a strong leader with a human at my side!" he practically spits the word human and smirks thinking he's won. I turn back with an easy smile, though my vampire side is struggling to get out at the disrespect this wolf is showing us. Oh boy.
