Spoiler Warning: Callie and Brandon after the adoption takes place. How she discovers her love for every member of her family and why it's so different from the way she feels about Brandon. Elena was always composed and methodical. She knew how to survive the world way before it finished. She wasn't looking for attachments, for people to call a family. Because attachments are liability, make you weak especially in this new world where dead are walking and living are more dangerous than before. I don't own anything or anyone, except my OCs. Daryl Dixon x OC; sort of slow burn with a lot of subtexts. Warnings: Strong language, eventual sexual content, violence, blood, self-harm triggers, attempted sexual assault triggers.

Daryl finds a girl while out on a run, completely alone, and traumatized. She doesn't speak, she hardly sleeps, but Daryl can tell she's tough. Daryl decides to bring her home, and she's attached at his hip. Daryl becomes protective of her and warns anyone that messes with her will wish they didn't. (So this is a lighter story than what I usually right, everyone will have a little humor, it's what happens when Hazel hangs out with people, they feel vulnerable, and share everything with her. I know the personality I gave Daryl is not at all what he's like, but I decided to change it for this story.) May 22, 2018- April 6th, 2020
