They both fell in love but in fear of losing the other forever as a friend, neither ever grew the courage to admit it.. Then Eric met Shelly and before Jess knew it they were engaged to be married Halloween night. Jess had to confess to Eric before she checked out for good, feeling she wasn't long for this world. Exactly one year later, with the help of a crow, Eric wakes from the dead and takes revenge for his death and the death of the women he loved.
