Having been ripped out of her mother's arms right after being born a minute later than her twin, Wren Jordan was sent to the Sky Box on the Ark. Considered a criminal for the simple act of being born, lonely walls and cell guards are all she has and all she's ever known for the past seventeen years. When forced out of her cell one day and placed on a ship, a confused but excited Wren learns that she is part of The 100, a group of underage criminals, that are to be sent back to Earth, where no one has been to in decades. Filled with mixed emotions, Wren finds that she has no idea on what to expect on the ground. A sure death, most likely. What she most certainly didn't expect was to find that her twin was to be sent down with her and the rest of The 100. Determined to keep herself and her recently met twin alive on the ground, Wren is willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe. But when some of the delinquent group decide to cause trouble, she finds that she got more than she bargained for when she tries to stop them. Everyone on the Ark knows the consequences of having a second child. They all know how illegal a baby could be. Not even people in positions as high up as Abby and Jake Griffin were allowed to let the 'accident' slide. Tate Griffin was never supposed to happen but a her parent's small mishap created her and there she was, a second child. Because of cooperation her parents did not have to pay with their lives but instead with the life of their child. The only memories Tate had were of grey cell walls and her families faces as they came to visit. Her whole life lead up to one thing- her 18th birthday- but before she could get floated she was sent on a drop ship, hurtling down to Earth.

The grounders know the Reapers as the flesh eating crazy people who live to kill whomever they see. On the Ark, Reaper is known as a young teen with an abnormally white hair, who was known for murdering 7 people with no remorse. How will the 100 prisoners survive on Earth when they have an infamous murderer on the loose? Will she fight with them or against them? In the process of all she deals with the pain of new kinds of love and being able to trust people after so many years of distrust. Falling for a boy whose sister was your sell mate isn't as easy as it sounds. But this story isn't just about love, because once a hardass always a hardass. ______________
