When a child is born their soulmate is known by their name and status inked on the babies wrist. Unlike the muggle world where you are judged for being homosexual and such, the wizarding world accepts it. A soulmate is destined and can not be changed so there is no point. Harry Potter has his mothers red hair and his father's hazel eyes. He constantly gets told how much he looks like his mother. His eyes have little flecks of green that remind him of something from when he was a baby - and he can never quite pinpoint what. When he gets his letter to Hogwarts he finally finds out. He meets a boy called Draco Malfoy, and despite a misunderstanding (and something about a weasel?) They become fast friends. A few years later they decide that just isn't enough. Harry can't stop thinking about Draco's stormy eyes and Draco simply adores Harry's freckles.
