2020 is approaching and the Octonauts have come to realize that they've been together for 10 years. So, for nostalgia's sake, they begin to reminisce about how each of the crew members joined. One by one they share their stories about what lead them to become an Octonaut. A/N: I know there have been quite a few stories about this certain topic but I wanted to share my take on how I imagined it all happened. It was the summer of 1987 in Perth, Scotland, and a young 7-year-old named Shellington Sea Otter struggled with controlling his emotions due to his autism. Whenever he became upset or encountered something he didn't like, he would have a meltdown. However, he found comfort in someone who understood him - a boy named Barnacles Jr. who also had autism. Together, they embarked on many adventures until Shellington was ready to face the world on his own. As he grew up, he faced numerous challenges, but he persevered and forged his path.

The title says it all- Octonauts one-shots! What happens when the Octonauts aren't exploring, rescuing, or protecting? The answer is all that happens in this book! I don't own the cover, and I definitely don't own Octonauts (but in my mind they are all mine!). There will be no shipping/pairings at all in this book, just friendship and family.

Back in the day, I asked the question "is anyone even a part of this fandom?" and apparently lots of you are! I'm just very dense and introverted, so I did not know this. But, I'm glad that lots of you enjoy this show! It's a good one.
