Starts with Nightmare being a starter king and founding his teammates; Dust, Error, Horror, Killer and Cross. Nightmare promised them a better life than the life they have now, in exchange they become his teammates and obey him as a king. And the five sanses trust him. The people in the village that was connected with Nightmare castle wasn't agreeing Nightmare to be their king, so Nightmare tries his best to make them agree by making a shield that cannot be seen to protect the village from any harm. the village are full of villains like him too but they wasn't and still not agreeing him to be a king for them. One day, in Nightmare's birthday, his teammates celebrates it by thanking him. one by one, they thanked him for finding them and they are not regretting trusting Nightmare. And that's the day where Nightmare told them why he promises them a better life than before. That day, they did a group hugs and that's the day where they suddenly got necklaces, but Nightmare also got a crown. Not just a necklace. They thought they have some special connection in all of them that makes the Necklaces magically appeared. The war is over between the Twins of feeling. The bad guys and star sanses live in the city spread out all around the town. Nightmare had been suffering with deep depression for his entire life. And when I say ENTIRE, I mean entire life. Though, it'd been getting worse with each passing day till suddenly the overwhelming, hurting, uncontrollable feeling of wanting to disappear just stopped bothering him. The feeling became numb. Then empty. Till suddenly it was the only thing that'd make him happiest. The feeling of death, The pain The emptiness It all made him want it. To know what it felt like. Nightmare wanted to die. Souls are fragile, they can only be hurt so many times. Humans and monsters are the same, the more you beat them, the more they crumble in your grasp and beg for forgiveness. A certain monster knows this to well, for he has beaten people down countless of times, but he finally meets someone that isn't afraid of being beat. How could he though, he's been beaten down since they day he came into existence. But he still fears death or pain although he wishes to embrace death for he has nothing more to live for. Though the murderous monster cannot bring himself to kill him or let the latter kill himself, so he proposes an idea. An idea that leads them through a roller coaster of excitement.

Error and Nightmare have always had a platonic relationship but things start to change when Ink takes his own desire for Error a step too far. Nightmare clearly isn't happy about this and is willing to do anything to protect and stay with the destroyer of worlds. Along the way, a certain golden skeleton and a blue starry-eyed skeleton end up joining the Multiverse's most notorious gang.

Error, after figuring out that his mother is still alive, goes to save him even as his emotionless father fights back. While this goes on he ends up falling for Nightmare, both of them understanding eachother like none other. Mother Nature wants her brother dead. Vediovous wants his freedom. Gaster wants his emotions. Error wants his family safe once and for all. How?
