The Kings Law Prologue "Are you sure about this my lord?" Kevin asked. He had just finished reading the law that the new King of England had just passed. "Certainly." The King guaranteed. "But my lord, to ban all women from learning how to use a weapon or from straying three miles away from their home, don't you think that's a little extreme?" The young courier stammered. The King glared at him. "Why would you say that? The women in this country need to learn that their place is at home not in war." King Richard explained. "But the part where, it says, anyone who disobeys this law, or helps anyone disobey this law will be punished by death. That's..." The King interrupted, "... My word, and my word is law, now go and declare this to the world." Kevin nodded. "A young girl will rebel one day, what will happen then?" Kevin asked, although he knew the answer. "I will kill her." "Are you sure about this?" The woman asked the man standing beside her. "After the king passed the law a year ago, I don't think we have a choice." The tall man sighed. The two strangers stared into the eyes of their only child one last time, then setting her by the front door they knocked and ran.

The king lowered himself into the chair that was placed before the table. Sipping the hot tea that was waiting for him he started to scan through his yearly death records. He passed through the farmers. There were a lot of those. Eventually he passed through the Parsons. There weren't as many of those. Slowly he made it to the Smiths. Leaning forward in his chair, the King read the Smiths again and again. Then he scanned through the live records, then the death records. Jason sat back in his chair. "I thought they were dead." He mumbled stunned.
