Han is back where he started, just him, Chewie and the Falcon. Until a runaway is found and disrupts Han's cycle of self-loathing. There's still self-loathing, of course, but it's changed. She's pretty, and clearly horrifically traumatized, but she trusts him. They become co-dependent, Ty relying on Han for safety to an unhealthy amount and Han relying on Ty for validation and purpose. As Han's pieces together Ty's story, he keeps his secrets to himself, trying to keep her at a distance. But it's hard when they are so drawn to each other. Han attempts to deny his attraction, but it's hard when she's always touching him.
As Ty and Han explore their relationship and attempt to break through each other's wall's, they make each other worse.
This is NOT a love story. This is a story about two broken people being broken. There's fluff, smut, hurt, angst (oh god, so much angst) but in the end this is just a silly story I've been playing through my head when I can't sleep at night. Read it or don't, I just need to get it out.
Told through a series of Bruce Springsteen lyrics because Han Solo is just Space Bruce Springsteen
