I opened the door only to see dozens of police cars in front of the house and that terrifying black truck. I quickly closed the door and looked at the three of them. Rebecca turned and looked at her son and husband. "I had to call. If they traced her back to us they could kill us." Derrek said looking at his mother. "Ahsha if you come out now no one will be hurt. You have my word." I heard him speak with ease. I looked down at Nasir and I knew I couldn't go on the run with an infant. I couldn't let Rebecca or her family get hurt because of me.
