At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.

Highest in Werewolf: #2 "Selene, my daughter, please hear us out. I know we don't deserve it, but your sister is pregnant and-" I held up my hand to stop the man named Benicio Dixon from speaking. Surely they didn't call me here just so they can dump all their personal problems onto me or dig up the past. If that was the case, they're quite foolish. I'm not interested in the slightest. Shifting my attention from my father to the woman he stood behind, my gaze narrowed on the small but visible bump under her sundress. Hestia Anne Dixon. My younger sister. The Luna of my old pack and the woman my mate chose over me. She was pregnant. I turned to the male sitting beside her in the Alpha's seat. Guilt and regret crossing his striking features when he refused to meet me in the eye. "If the reason you called me here is because of this nonsense" I gestured between my sister and mate, "Then it would appear I wasted my time. With all due respect, Beta Dixon, I am an Alpha. I have many and much more important things to do than discuss petty mate bonds. If It wasn't obvious enough, I'll make myself clear-" I stood up, not caring for the gazes burning into my skin. "Whether or not she has this pup has nothing to do with me. Luna Walker's mate has nothing to do with me. In fact, none of you have anything to do with me outside of pack business. If you're worried about my interference-- don't. I won't say nor do anything. To put it simply, I don't want him. I didn't want him for the past four years since he rejected me and you all left me to die. Rest assured that seeing him again won't change anything. Now if you'll excuse me, I have things to attend to." I held my head high, walking off with my Beta trailing behind me. Just as I reached the door, it abruptly pulled open and I came face to face with the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life. Dark, crystal grey eyes bore into me and I found myself go still. Alpha Raizel Locksworth. The Bloodlust Alpha.

Lucas Sawyer has gotten used to being forgotten. His twin brother Mark, captain and star quarterback, everyone's favorite, gets the spotlight. Lucas doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, he doesn't go to parties. His life is safe and logical, and that's exactly how he likes it. But when his brother's football rival and worst enemy, Damien Castillo, starts work at the same small bakery, everything changes. Damien is Lucas' worst nightmare: an arrogant heartbreaker with a bad reputation, who threatens to ruin all his careful plans. Lucas hates him. Years before his birth, it was prophesised that his soul would never be whole, that his heart would never beat in rhythm to his other half. Micajah was born with a dark soul, a soul that was corrupt. A soul that was more wolf than human. A soul incomplete. Nothing but an imperfect creation that walks earth. He will never have a true mate. When his turn to rule the wolf kingdom arises, after the death of his mother, he is forced to choose a female that has already been rejected from her true mate. Alongside his rise to the throne, the wolf kingdom begins to tear itself apart. An uprising begins. No one wants a creature, hated by the Moon Goddess herself, to rule. Even if he is the only royal heir by blood. Even if it is what tradition dictates. A male more beast than man, can never yield humanity, let alone love. But humanity can be learnt, and love seizes all - even those with corrupt souls.
