Two people with depressing lives fall for each other almost instantly. During the summer they create a safe space with one another. Being that their fighting their own personal demons, things aren't likely to go so smoothly, but they'll try for each other.

Follow the lives of four teenage boys as they recounter their strive for success in the music industry through a diary. It details the difficulty of balance between hectic high school careers, and toxic personal lives as they grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina during the late 80's as they prepare for their school's talent show. They all have noticeably different personalities, one being antisocial, only using his pen as a form of speech as it glides across the prized possession known as his composition book, his brother being the complete opposite, his outgoing personality attracting plenty of people his way, third being bold, folks would consider it cocky, but he takes it as having high confidence in his self, and lastly we have his younger brother, who's self reserved due to his negligent upbringing making him uninterested in meeting others.
