A foreign, unworldly, young woman arrives in Kattegat with a gift for the Queen. She is an apparent messenger, sent by the Gods, to help the sons of Ragnar on their quest for vengeance. The introduction to the youngest son does not go according to plan and they find themselves in an unlikely and tumultuous relationship.
