Deaton had always suspected a spark was buried deep within Stiles. When he proves it right he tells the alpha, Derek. Derek is in need of an emissary and Stiles would be perfect. But Stiles fights the spark within. He doesn't want to be tied to Derek forever, he hates the guy. Derek fights for Stiles but will Stiles fight for Derek?

Stiles can't sleep, and if he told enough people that was all it was, maybe he would start to believe it. Still, as tensions were rising about them losing their territory he couldn't bother them with something he didn't even fully understand. Maybe he just needed something fun and easy to help him relax. Like the hot neighbor that he keeps catching staring at him. Derek can't sleep, and if he cleans his house enough maybe people won't realize how he doesn't care enough to clean up other parts of his life. Still, as he worried about his job and obligations, he couldn't let them down about finding a place they belonged. Maybe he just needed something interesting to keep his mind off of it. Like the clumsy man he can't keep his eyes off of.

Derek has majorly screwed up. Like he's planning how to convince Stiles not to kill him screwed up.

Who the hell is this kid? What are all these tubes doing he should've hea- Why wasn't he healing!? His panic was cut off by two people barging in the door. Shit cops. "Stiles?!" Anger filled the man's eyes. "Mieczysław Genim Stilinski!" Derek tensed at the fury and his claws slipped out. The boy quickly covered them with his hands. The boy in question winced. "Hi Dad." The man turned to the woman with him. "Save it Sheriff. I see the complaints about your gross disregard for procedure aren't unfounded. Pray, do tell me there is a reasonable explanation why your own son is in the room with a murder suspect?" Whoa wait... He's a murder suspect?! The boy's wide eyes quickly became hard with determination. He immediately knew what ever came out of his mouth was going not going to end well. "I have a perfectly reasonable explanation." The boy's father covered his face with his hand and his shoulders raised to tense against the incoming response.

In hindsight they wouldn't have messed with magic they didn't understand, in two hours ago sight how cool would a talking snowman be?!?! I'd like to state that this started as the crackiest of crack, but somehow I started to take it seriously???

Stiles sighed and accepted he was about to die.
