Toby is... Well, you could say he's disturbed. He's the kid you avoid at school. The kid who seems to hate everyone. The kid with a constant scowl on his face. The kid who, cliche as it sounds, wants to avoid everyone. Of course, appearances can always be deceiving. At school, he's rude and angry. At home? He's a ball of nerves. At home, he's abused. At home, the most he can hope for is a day without an added on bruise. One day, he comes home after defending some kid. His parents weren't too pleased to hear that he started a fight. After dodging a punishment, and hiding in his room, what will he do when his monster under the bed from his child-hood decides to reappear after so many years? Will it tear him apart, rip him open as he feared it would as a child? Or will he finally have someone to be his shield? ( Cover is not mine. I found it on google. )

Craig was fine. He hated himself, but that was normal. He was normal. People whispered whenever they thought he wasn't listening. 'Freak,' they said. 'Psycho. Lock him up...' but that happens to everyone, right? Craig didn't need friends. Not then, and certainly not now. Well, he had friends once, but that was a long time ago. When friends stayed. They don't anymore... He had his pills, and that was all that mattered. Because when Craig took his pills, he had a friend.

When you think of a hero, you think of someone like Steve Rogers. Tony Stark. Clark Kent... Peter Parker, even. You certainly wouldn't think of someone like Axel. Axel Rosemary. Dyed blue hair, shaved at the side. Rings pierced through his lip, nose, and the tops of his ears. That's what he is though, and dang proud. He's kept his home, Brooklyn, the place he's grown up in, safe since he was fifteen. He's avoided life-threatening injuries. Now, though, after five years of protecting, after five years of being known as Distortion, after five years of successfully using his Telekinesis to protect those around him with all his might, after five years of building his reputation as a hero, a hero who can be looked to, who has a hot-headed personality, who can be trusted... He's been hurt. Knocked down. He won, of course he won, but he's hurt. With a deep gash in his side, he has nowhere to go. His friends are too far away, and his parents are six feet below. So now, he heads to where he's sure will be his down-fall. A man he's fought since he was fifteen. A man who he prays won't kill him in his time of need. He most certainly didn't expect to wake up on a couch, stitched up and safe. -Hello! This is my first story here. This is inspired by a prompt I found on Pinterest. I wrote a bit of a story and, after getting much praise, decided to post it on here. I hope you all enjoy! This will have some triggering mentions and subject matters, though I promise I will put up warnings before the subjects come up!
