Danny Phantom had grown up in the human world but has been adopted of sorts by Martian Manhunter. The Martian had taken a growing interest in the boy when he found him sobbing in an alley way. Danny's vacation is ruined once his sister, Jazz, tells him their going on a family bonding trip to Gravity Falls. Danny is really mad and in Gravity Falls, he receives texts from Sam and Tucker talking about how cool Scotland is. Danny is crushed until he is invited to hang out with Wendy and her friends. However, this vacation is going as planned when he meets Dipper Pines, how has his suspensions about Danny. The second he saw Danny, Dipper knew he was a ghost. And he was going to prove it. Dipper becomes crushed when Wendy invites Danny to hang out with them after her shift. But that also has its perks. Now that Dipper is closer to Danny, he can prove that Danny is a ghost, even if he is miserable or not. Of course, Dipper can't find the perfect time to confront Danny.

Danny was captured by the GIW and they experimented on him causing him to gain new powers.
