Delatarlo cada que se escabullía de su sala común con ayuda de Peeves, hacer botones ridículos para boicotearlo y alterar sus pociones para que Snape lo castigara eran algunos de sus tontos intentos de sentirse superior. La gente los llamaba rivales, pero no había nada en lo que pudieran rivalizar, ni si quiera en el quidditch. Harry era bueno en todo lo que Draco era mediocre y al revés. De alguna manera esa era su dinámica; ganar, perder, bromas infantiles y burlas. Nada más, nada menos. Draco, quién siempre había querido algo más lo entendía muy bien. Por eso, cuando Lord Voldemort apareció entre la neblina matutina, el humo y el polvo de la guerra, con una enorme sonrisa en su horrible rostro, Draco no pudo mover un músculo.
