When Peter comes home to the Stark Tower with a 4-inch deep stab wound in his side, Tony never thought in a million years that this would be one of the best opportunities for him to bond with May Parker. It turns out that being protective over their shared spider-baby really brings some co-parents together.

An Iron Man-themed Spirt Day at school sounds amazing to Peter in practice. Getting to spend the day talking about his hero? His father-figure? Nothing could beat that. When that day actually arrives, however, it brings with it some memories that the spidering would like, above anything, to forget.

When a young Peter Parker looses his family farm to the excessive taxation by the British, he doesn't have a lot of people to turn to for help. With May busy trying to handle the burden of the hole left behind by the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter takes it upon himself to get them the money they need to get their home back. By enlisting himself into the Continental Army. There, Peter meets cocky General Anthony "Iron Man" Stark, a man hanging by his last string of hope. A man, who by all titles, should not be as protective of this boy who has wondered into his camp; should not let the kid's innocent eyes and striking genius begin to thaw the ice around his heart. But he does and Tony honestly isn't sure what to think anymore. Together, they begin to forge the path to freedom for both themselves and the nation as a whole.

Peter isn't normally awake this early on a weekend. He has a good reason to be, though. He needs to train - to get better - and show Tony that he can handle his own while on the battlefield. After his last mistake, well, Peter knows he could have really blown it. Steve Rogers, fresh from exile and back at the Stark Tower for an up-in-coming Avengers mission, seems to have the same exact ideas as Peter. Too bad one miss-swing causes both the Captain and Peter some bruising, a busted nose and a headache-and-a-half. "Hey, slow down." Tony faces him, his mask lifting to make eye contact as he plants his hands on the kid's shoulders to ground him. "We'll take it one step at a time." With the reassurance, Peter's able to manage a slight smile. Then the floor swallows him whole. Before either of them can blink, he's being sucked into the ground, out of Tony's desperate grasp. "Peter!" Their eyes stay locked for that split second when the darkness closes around him, all light being shut out as he suddenly plummets. - Peter gets separated from Tony and Stephen, and the villain gets ahold of him first.

When another tragedy happens in Peter's life, will he be able to look to the Avengers for help after a rough meeting, or will he be completely alone? I own nothing. Black Panther most likely will not be in this, I just couldn't edit him out of the picture.....

Peter doesn't eat all day and Tony is a protective dad. Also there's a cat. This is just better version of another story I've published on here under the same title.
