He took a step closer to me as I took a step back. It wasn't until it was too late as I was pushed dominantly up against my bedroom door, Chance gripping my throat in his firm grasp. "I told you I would ruin you! I would corrupt you! I'm a nuisance, a waste of space. You can't help me, no matter what you do." He growled, his eyes growing dark as I began to shake under his burning touch. "C-Chance, don't say that! I want to help you, save you at least." I cried, tears running down my face as his gaze hardened. "You can't save me." And with that, he pulled me closer by my neck and slammed his lips roughly against mine. ~~~ Chance King, an extremely depressed 22 year old attempts to commit suicide but fails. "Her." "Her?" "That's what I said, isn't it?" "Yeah, I'm just making sure that's what ya meant." "When have I ever vocalize things I didn't mean or want? Now, when I say I want her, I mean I want her!" Being the seed of Queens, New York; Godiva Lyon gives to please everyone. Her overprotective parents, her picky bitch acting friends, her snooty boss and teachers and even the neighbors of her neighbors', neighbors. None of them are satisfied with what she has to give. But the one person that is easily pleased by her name, is the one person that she needs to be on her knees begging to. Italy's precious, bloody jewel, Apollo Marino keeps his father's throne warm and his pistol wiped clean. I mean, you would think he would carry out the legacy traditionally, just like any old Boss would do. But no, not the Domain. They are raw. Quiet, but raw. "You're so quiet." "I'm aware." "Too quiet, it almost drowns out my loudness." Apollo strides over to where the mini bar is, next to the nightstand on the wall. Godiva remained in the spot he had left her in. The less movement to less erosion. The less friction. The less time. "Don't get me wrong, I don't mistake your quietness for weakness." Apollo let's out a barely automobile chuckle while pouring his brown liquid venom in that wicked glass of his, the smell feeling up Godiva's nose. "I know you're not that much of a fool, although I do manage to realize that you do mistake my quietness for silence...." Apollo says as he strides back over to the mentally paralyzed girl and leans to her ear, barely touching face "And mio amour, I'm anything but that."

Sam is the most promising swordsman among this year’s crop of Paladin trainees...and knows it. Brash, cocky, and unbeatable with a sword (well, almost), Sam is the kingdom of Thule’s best hope against the violence wrought by demons. The only problem is that Sam is really Lady Samantha, daughter of the seventeenth Duke of Haywood, and if her father has his way, she’ll be marrying a Paladin, not becoming one. But Sam has never held much interest in playing damsel-in-distress, and so she rescues herself from a lifetime of boredom and matrimonial drudgery. Pity that Tristan Lyons, the Paladin assigned to train her, is none other than the hero of her childhood. He hasn’t recognized her as Lady Samantha--yet-- but if he does, he’ll take away her sword and send her packing. Sam is not the only trainee hiding secrets: Braeden is a half-demon with a dark past that might be unforgivable. Sam, Braeden and Tristan set out for the western coast, charged with rooting out an infestation of demons that has made the West unlivable. As they travel, they uncover a deep-seated corruption of power that threatens to derail everything they stand for. Rebellion stirs, led by a rival faction of warriors who tempt Sam to join them with an irresistible offer. A war between men is coming, and Sam must pick a side. Will saving the kingdom cost her life -- or just her heart? Reminiscent of Mulan, but with a medieval fantasy twist, Paladin is a tale of adventure, action, and romance.

My bruised and beaten body rested on his sculpted shoulder, I could feel the shifting planes of his shoulder blades under me with every step he took, the sound of gravel echoed throughout the alleyway, his breathing was rugged and gruff. "Sorry." I quickly shot back, wanting to keep this conversation short. "And stop apologizing, I didn't do anything. I just saved you from some bitches, that's all." His rough tone faulted just a smidge. It was short but I noticed it. "What? You're gonna be my savior now or something?" I blurted out, the words just escape through my lips. I do love my sarcasm, even when it isn't needed. He stopped walking, dropping me on the ground, I looked up at him, groaning in pain. His tall figure turn to face me then bend down to my level, and griped my chin, pulling me forward. "If you can spout shit like this you can make it back to your place, right? Plus if you died on the way, I bet you wouldn't care, given the fresh scars on your wrist." He pushed me back and turned to walk off. "I'm not some Savior, sweetheart. I helped this time because your fight wasn't fair." • • • • • Trigger Warnings!! This story does contain: Violence, Homophobia, Obscene language, Drug usage.

What happens when the mafia leader's daughter gets a bodyguard? "Is he mute?" I ask my dad. "No, he is not mute" my dad scoffs, "he just doesn't talk...never has even when he came to us, he also has never shown his full face" I look over to see that he has a black mask covering the bottom half of his face. I walk over to him and wave my hand in front of his face. "So you really don't talk huh?" No answer.... I roll my eyes and reach for his mask. He instantly grabs my wrists and pulls them by my sides. I stand there with wide eyes as he walks to the other side of my dad's office. "Well this is going to be fun"I mutter sarcastically.

"Why are you back Mateo? I thought you-?" I stopped talking when his face glared towards me. "What? That I went back to Hell where I belong?" taking a slow step trapping me between his body and desk. "N-o. I just-" Grabbing my chin hard and bringing it up to look into his dark eyes, Mateo smirked. The dangerous smirk he would give when he was going to do something to hurt someone. Pressing his body on me I hissed from the position we were in. "You are hurting me." "Hurting you?" pulling away but not letting go of my chin. "Oh baby girl." cooing like he used too to antagonize me. Letting my chin go, he caressed my cheek with his fingertips sending chills down my body. The familiar sensation that I thought I would never miss. In a blink of an eye, Mateo had his strong hand behind my neck, my face now a few inches from his menacing one. "Mi Katia... you will know hurt very soon. I have years to make up for the hurt you gave me. I'm taking back what is mine... and this time, no one will stop me." Mateo Sanchez: Handsome, charming, dangerous and vengeful... Katia Solis: Everything he lost and came back to get...
