Although that may not be the case after Jest's true love is taken away from him by the Jabberwock, a creature that has been terrorizing the kingdom of Hearts. After Cath is pronounced dead, Jest returns to his homeland, Chess, with his mission incomplete. Jest must earn his way back up to Rook, while Cath finds herself in a new world, with no recollection of her past. When Cath finally returns to Wonderland, it is uncertain if this love will remain in tact or if they will both become loveless.
