Although Dreamtale and all of its characters belong to Joku, this story relies heavily on fanon and headcanons. This is because I find the canon of Dreamtale to be unsatisfying. In my opinion, canon Dream is a mary-sue, Nightmare is a victim who lives to show how good his brother is, and all of the endings fail, in my eyes, to tie up the loose ends in the story in a satisfactory way. Remember, this is just my opinion! Similarly, most characters depicted in this story vary slightly from their respective canons, this has been down to fit the story better. I will try to adhere to canon as much as possible, though!
