It's November 10th, 2039 in Michigan, Detroit. Gavin Reed, a thirty-six year old detective, encounters a new homicide partner. A newly activated android who is known as Connor's brother. The human finds himself in difficulty in understanding how to communicate with his partner at the same time working alongside with the android. Nines, an android model RK900 had been recently activated, before being reactivated had experienced a traumatic event thus deciding to avoid verbal communication. He finds himself managing a balance between settling in to being free and overcoming his old trauma.

After the Android Revolution, a law was created to give rights to androids to be treated as equal to humans. Unfortunately, not everyone is in agreement of this idea. One of these people are Gavin Reed. Ever since the law was passed, Gavin has been deteriorating. His opinions starts to affect his work. So as a way to solve this problem he is given an android partner, an RK900 model, Conan. Neither Gavin nor Conan is pleased with their situation. WARNING: Swearing (as you can see in the title), none of these characters are mine (obviously), the story is written in Gavin's perspective but with third person pronoun, I'm not that knowledgeable about the Police so I apologize in advance if I get anything wrong.
