Garu, on the other hand, is now a 16 year old boy who continues to protect the Sooga Village from his nemesis, Tobe and his gang of ninjas, and the Vagabond Ninja Clan. But, does he save everyone though? One night, Tobe and his ninjas strike again and had kidnapped poor little Pucca down to their base. After hearing the horrid news, Garu and the others were set up to find and rescue her from the hands of the evil ninjas. Luckily, she was saved by them. Afterwards, Garu started to feel this need of protecting Pucca at all cost. He didn't want her to get hurt again.
