Lilyana White. A seventeen year old high school student obsessed with the weird and the unusual. All her life she has wanted explanations for the strange things in life and she has done everything in her power to understand the odd reality around. How do things work? How does a clock tick? Sammy Kaplan lives in Carsden at the edge of the Unlived Forest. Aloof and practically emotionless to other people, she starts noticing some odd things happening in Carsden. Most disconcerting to her is the nature in town.
