Along with him, she encounters Sougo Okita (also known as the 'sadist king') where Kumiko discovers that he also shares a great dislike towards Hijikata. With their mutual hatred towards Hijikata, the two join forces to cause him pain. (The story sucks at first, but I swear it gets better).

After Toshiro Hijikata died of explosive diarrhea, first division captain Sougo Okita couldn't be more than happy. That stupid mayonnaise addict was now dead. All they did back then was fight, and that's all they're doing now. He wants that vice chief position no matter what the cost, maybe even her life.
