His friends disappear, leaving him to spend the summer alone. His mother buys a dog. Aden hates dogs. The scar on his leg confirms it. And his new job titles are garbage collector and toilet scrubber. At least he'll be out in nature, excepted he hates the outdoors. Aden's ready to barricade himself in his room, until school starts back up in the fall. His mother won't allow it, and his father is ready to do some character building. On his first moon, Aden finds a white werewolf with red markings staring back at him in his reflection. He is definitely a sub but with a little extra fire. It's okay. Aden was expecting it. Titus, on the other hand, couldn't be happier. He takes Aden home where the pack is waiting. They are thrilled about the new addition. They instantly embrace Aden as one of them, and he starts adjusting to life as a werewolf. The rules of the pack are hard at first. Aden clings to some of his human tendencies and finds himself getting annoyed when ranking disputes cause problems among his packmates. His own marriage has a few bumps, but Titus and Aden work threw it together. Eventually, Aden comes to understand the rules of the pack are there to protect him. A sub with beautiful white fur is bound to attract attention from dominants looking for that perfect sub. Because in this world, even the strongest werewolves' mates are at risk of being stolen.
