Riley hat zwei gescheiterte Selbstmordversuche hinter sich und sich letztendlich dazu entschieden, dem ganzen noch eine einzige letzte Chance zu geben und sich in einer Klink helfen zu lassen. Dort begegnet er Dany und weiß sofort, dass er dem Jungen helfen will. Zu Beginn stößt er dabei nur auf Abweisung, bis sich Danys Zustand so verschlechtert, dass er Riley um seine Hilfe bittet, aus dem Albtraum aufzuwachen. Sehr schnell entwickeln sich zwischen den beiden ein tiefes Empfinden füreinander, doch nicht nur Dany hat mit sich selbst zu kämpfen.
