Every year on the day of Ostara a witch is "born". Well, summoned is probably a better word for it, but let's just run with things right now. The sun perfectly aligns with the pillars of Stonehenge calling forth a witch into its center. Since the end of the dark ages people have gathered there every year hoping to be chosen as the summoned witch's bonded. Why, you may ask? Because the bonded of a witch is granted blessings beyond their wildest dreams. Not only that, but having a witch for a bonded almost guarantees yourself prestige and a welcome into the upper echelons of society. This year is special for a reason though. Ostara lines up perfectly with a solar eclipse, which only happens once every 80 years. It is recorded that whenever this event occurs one of the High Priestesses is summoned. A witch with unimaginable power who requires 7 bonded, the most magical of numbers, to keep her magic grounded to this plane.
