Marinette Dupain-Cheng moves to a small town outside of her home city Paris after her parents buy a bakery there to give her a semi-normal life outside of the big city where their bakery there was extremely big, giving a few shops every other block and moving out of the second shop to the one that started it all. Adrien Agreste, the son of a single farmer Mother in the small town has lived their for all his life, dreaming of moving to Paris only hours away to fulfill any dream he has, or finding the Father he knows lives there. Marinette is turning 18 and all her dreams are about to come true: she lands a great fashion internship, for a week she gets to work in the Bahamas, and she gets to model a swimsuit and kiss Adrien Agreste on the set. The only problem is she doesn't know how she's going to keep pretending that she wants to be Just a Friend. Adrien found out that Mari was Ladybug in the first book, Just my Luck, and is now pretending to be oblivious. He wants nothing else but to be with Marinette/Ladybug, but his bad luck keeps getting in the way. Radiant, Carefree, Dreamy... Adrien in the Bahamas. After that little incident, they developed a strong friendship that could turn into something more. But Adrien hasn't seen her yet. And so, Marinette gave him a challenge. Marinette and Adrien are childhood friends. Marinette develops a crush on Adrien after many years of being friends. They grew up together lovingly and were both brought into Gabriel Agreste's company. Marinette as an apprentice designer and Adrien as a model. In order to complete Marinette's training, she receives an offer from Gabriel to study abroad in America. Knowing that Adrien will not return her feelings and only considers her as a best friend, she does not hesitate and immediately takes the offer. What will happen to Adrien after his best friend leaves him?
