Book 2 Everyone knew the story of the Boy Who Lived. But many weren't familiar with the story of the Girl Who Knitted. Eleanor Ross knitted her way to victory, her knitted garments protected those who fought against the Dark Lord and his followers, and to think it all started with a prank. Back in their fifth year of Hogwarts, Fred and George Weasley attempted to unleash one of their pranks on the unsuspecting Hufflepuff, and when it failed, they were determined to figure out how Eleanor deflected every single one of their attempts. They discovered so much more. George discovered that knitting posed an actual threat. Fred discovered that behind the innocent knitting was a fearless badger ready to fight. Eleanor discovered that she fell in love with a boy who smelled like gunpowder and cinnamon. The war might have been over, but the adventure was far from it. As Ptolemy thought, we are all closer to Hell than we are to Heaven. If you push any man hard enough they can fall right back into the abyss from which they came. ~ Loki, The God of Mischief in The Art of Manipulation They were perfect for each other. She was light, he was darkness. She was pure, he was plagued. He was a ghost, and she was an angel. They had balanced each other like no other couple could. They calmed each other, soothed each other. They came together like Heaven and Hell, joined at the horizon by their love for music. He gave her his music and she gave him her voice. Their love was perfection in every sense of the word. They were also ignorant. Or at least...he...was ignorant. Ignorant to the fact that there was another being who loved him, too. I had loved him, that masked man. I had known him when all he was was a voice to her, her angel of music. I was his companion and he was my dream. A dream that would never be mine. A dream that I would long for for centuries. And now that I had a second chance, a second chance at the love I most desperately desired, I had to make a choice. Do I let things be, allow the Phantom's story to unravel the way it had the first time? Do I endure watching the man I love marry the woman who was so perfect for him again? That woman who was the dazzling soprano Christine Daaé? Or do I take him as my own?

|| Book 1 of The Shadow's Melody || As a maid here at the new Opéra Populaire I can certainly sense something different. Something missing. It lacked him. The Opera Ghost who disappeared. I know I should let it go. I know I shouldn't constantly think about a dead man. A murderer. But I simply can't. I can't forget about that man I fell in love with those many years ago. I yearned to hear his angelic voice again. I begged for it. Hoped for it. Prayed for it. I called for him in my dreams. The man they called The Phantom of the Opera. I would never have guessed that my hopes and prayers would soon be answered.

You might know the story of the infamous Phantom of the Opera. How he was banished from society, and doomed to forever be alone, and how he loved the rising Prima Donna, Christine Daae. But what if there was someone who saw him? What happens when a curious little ballet rat named Isa wanders to the depths of the Populaire and finds the opera ghost? Will he be saved? or is it too late? (I do not own The Phantom of the Opera, or the characters, or the songs. I only own Isa.) Mostly Andrew Lloyd Webber version, but I might add touches of Leroux. Also the title might change. ENJOY! :)

One event changed everything in Christine Daae's life. Erik Destlar fell in love with her and decided to take her to live with him. Will she ever love him back? Modern day, E/C... COMPLETED ___________________________________________________________ I do NOT claim the original work of Gaston Leroux "The Phantom of the Opera." I also do NOT condone things discussed, written, or otherwise made known through my work such as stalking, kidnapping, marrying kidnappers/stalkers, or the like. My only wish is to make Leroux's book accessible to modern readers with a few plot twists here and there. I can only hope I have done his acclaimed work justice with my retelling.
