Lynn is een wolf, en niet zomaar een wolf, maar de dochter van de alpha. Lynn kan het goed vinden met iedereen uit de roedel, en de roedelleden zijn dan ook blij dat Lynn de Luna word van de roedel, omdat ze de eerst geborene in de bloedlijn is. Lynn is 15 jaar oud, en ze heeft een broertje van 12 jaar en een zusje van 9 jaar. Als ze zestien word, krijgt ze eindelijk haar innerlijke wolf, en verandert ze in een wolf. Maar als dat eenmaal zo ver is, ontdekt ze dat ze niet zomaar een wolf is, en dat ze een belangrijke taak te verrichten heeft. Als ze dan ook nog is haar mate tegenkomt, blijkt hij de Alpha te zijn van een van de meest gevaarlijke roedels te zijn, en de nieuwe vijand van haar roedel. Lynn zal alles op alles moeten zetten om ervoor te zorgen dat ze haar taak voltooid, maar helaas werkt haar mate niet echt mee...
