The central characters are the lead protagonists of the show namely Anirudh Roy Chaudhary and Bondita (later Bondita Roy Chaudhary) Anirudh Roy Chaudhary is a young 22 years old London returned barrister, belonging to an affluent Zamindar (Landlord) family, who has moved back to his home land in order to bring change in the society & empower women of his country.
