Thankfully, he has good friends and a supportive teacher. But everything changes at the school's annual masquerade ball, when Patton's secret is found out by his aunt and cousins. He tries to convince himself he's happy as he returns to his house every night after working overtime and falling asleep on the couch only to start the cycle again the next day. 'Looking for quiet roommate.' 'Located in quiet area.' 'Apartment has previously received noise complaints.' Virgil groaned and tossed his phone onto his bed, burying his face in his hands. He just needed an apartment that would be okay with his job. Trying to keep to his price range and find what he needed was proving to be so much harder than he thought it would. This would be his first time moving somewhere that he didn't know the owners of the place beforehand. "Welcome to YouTube life, idiot." Virgil grumbled to himself. He picked up his phone again, going to close out of the app he was using, but suddenly a line on one that he hadn't looked at caught his eye. 'Must be willing to allow for eccentric work ethics and schedules, as owner of the apartment works independently online.' Virgil tapped on the listing and began to read. 'Four bedroom apartment, looking for up to three roommates. Apartments beneath and above are both empty at the moment, noise is not a problem so long as residents are courteous. Preferred that applicants are male.' Virgil stared at the listing. This was so... so perfect. He closed the app and tapped his messenger app. 'Hey Pat, I think I found something.' Virgil's whole family believes that the LGBTQ+ community is a sin. Virgil didn't know why. He just went along with everything his family did and say. His cousin was kicked out of his family for being Pansexual. Virgil missed him so much. It wasn't until college until they see each other again that he realizes his cousin has been through so much. But, Virgil has also been through so much bullying, Anxiety, and Depression. But, there was a family who adopted his cousin. Someone that Virgil was least expecting to fall in love with... his name was Roman.

This has been playing out in my head for a while, so I thought 'why not make it an actual story?' And so I did.
