Ability. Rank. Power. These are the things that define a person, determine who they are, what they're worth, and how much influence they have. At least, that's how it works in Quinley's world. The weak fall to the strong. Those in similar situations get along. And the strongest fight to become number one. All this depends on your ability, your natural-born power. The system is simple, easy to follow, and works well. Only one small problem, Quinley refuses to use her ability, for any reason. That doesn't bode well with a world in which violence is praised, and peace is nonexistent.
