Teenager Nico Di Angelo has been an orphan for as long as he can remember, so when King Apollo offers him a position in the castle, he accepts in an instant. But when he arrives at the castle, and discovers his position as a slave, things go downhill very quickly... until he meets older prince Will, and everything changes.

Will is a spy. He is undercover as a student teacher to find out who is stealing the school's finances. On his mission he meets a certain high school student named Nico di Angelo... (The story is much better than the description.)

On his first day back from the infirmary, Nico has a nightmare and starts to relapse into his old ways. Will walks in for a check up, only to find Nico soaked in his own blood. Nico is bored. Being immortal means things get boring quickly, especially when you have been living with a bunch of other immortal warlocks your whole life. Nico often complains of this to his other "family" but nothing really changes. One day, His family have had enough of his whining, and decide to make things more interesting, by daring Nico to attend a human school for a year. At first reluctant, Nico eventually agrees to this. Soon enough Nico finds himself on an adventure unlike he had even known- and he'd been through a lot, and Will learns that being a healer isn't just about healing physically. Will and Nico didn't talk often. They had that small skirmish during that one war, a small argument afterwards, and then they didn't talk to each other again, only interacting when Nico gets hurt and Will has to heal the death child. Will was a bright person who lived to help others. Will was a mortal who could see through the mist. When he meets Nico, he finally gets a Chance to see and be in the life he has been wondering about. Nico always believed that he belonged far away from society. He made friends with ghosts, had a zombie chauffeur, and was an awkward outcast in the mortal world. Sure many people have tried reaching out to him, but he never really belonged. He just ran down to the underworld. When his godly father finally forces him to attend mortal school for running away from Both camps, he meets Will, his bright classmate who for some reason won't leave him alone. He hates it! Or does he?
