Everyone knows about the suffering he endured, his pain, his misery, his ups and downs all thorough his life. The legends about him, his 'king of sass' moods, his quests. They know everything about their hero. But Annabeth got a glimpse of something more. In Tartarus, Annabeth got a quick glimpse of something that terrified her. She, nor he, ever brought it up again, but it always lingered in the back of her mind. What had she seen down in Tartarus? Was it possible, the happy, preppy, sass king, had a dark side?

When Percy Jackson's heart is broken in two, he decided to leave both camps for a while. He cut the ties he had with all of his friends and disappears for seven years. No one has seen him since he left, until the day he comes back for a small 'vacation.' How will the demigods react to this new Percy? (Once again, another story inspired by DemigodinTraining. She's purely amazing, go check out her story 'Agent Jackson', the story that I've been inspired to write this off of. Once again, the plot isn't mine.)

Percy Jackson is a hero, and no one denies it. He's known for never faltering nor stumbling, even at times gods would cower in fear. He's everyone's idol, everyone wants to be him. Strong, heroic, brave, all the qualities everyone could want. But no one understands him. Not even Annabeth, who's closer than anyone to him. No one's perfect, not even Percy Jackson.
