Taken from his home as a wee babe, Hiccup grew up with dragons and was raised by one of the most feared in the archipelago. What if Hiccup lived his entire life with dragons instead of vikings? Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, son of Stoick the Vast, had never known the comfort of man. His mother had been taken by a dragon before he could be born among vikings. Growing up in a isolated fortress with his mother and loyal Night Fury, Toothless, Hiccup learns what it feels to live as a dragon would. His whole world has been revolved around his mother and best friend. That world will change forever when Hiccup is thrusted into the Dragon-Viking war after a mysterious man attacks the only home he knew. Tensions will rise, bonds will be tested, and when Stoick discovers his long-lost son, Hiccup will have to make the ultimate decision: choose his own kind or live amongst the creatures he sought to protect.

A month after the battle of Drago Bludvist, Berk is returning to it's former glory. One day the villagers are whisked away to a room. There they meet Destiny who in turn shows them their past with some guests.

It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon. Astrid Hofferson's father is abusive. After a while, her mother gets strong enough to leave him and takes Astrid with her. Months past and her mom begins to date again, only for the man to become abusive. Astrid grows up to start liking and dating bad boys and she allows them to hurt her, because that's all she's ever really seen a guy do. She attends a new school after moving into a new house with her mom and settling in. She meets a boy named Hiccup and thinks, 'Why would he be any different?'

As a baby hiccup was taken away from Berk for 20 years. No one apart from Stoick and Valka know he's missing or possibly dead or so they think. But when Astrid goes for a walk into the woods after a frustrating day maybe just maybe there is a glimmer of hope. But Berk has been receiving mutable attacks from the outcast, who are trying to find Stoick's weakness and take over Berk. When Alvin the leader of the outcast discovers Astrid's little secret maybe they have found something worth everything to Stoick and that may get them their victory. When Finn Hofferson died, Astrid inherited his castle in Wales...and the curse...and the ghosts. But something else lurks deep in the North Tower. Will she survive long enough to find out?

Hiccup Haddock the Third was an outcast from his own village, even to his father. When he met Toothless, he felt something he has lost long ago. The belonging of a family. He never thought he could leave Berk. However, when he was chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare, his own fears were overcome by something else. The feelings to protect his own. He never thought of coming back. But fate had other plans.
