Desiree's life is small. She lives in a small town, a small house, and goes to a small school. Most people like it there. A tight-knit town filled with kind and caring people. But then again, these are the people who have never went 50 miles away from their home. They like routine. Which is great since everyday is exactly the same. Nothing EVER happens! And that's exactly why Desiree hates it.

Jade Davis-Smith moved to North Carolina from California because her mom got a job offer in North Carolina and her dad could care less only if he didn't have to do anything there (her dad is abusive/alcoholic and he hates his daughters, Jade and her little sister Elizabeth.) Jade isn't happy about it because she has to leave all her good friends behind. But one day she is going to meet the boy that will make change her. But she doesn't know he is a star on vine.
