Phinx ran as fast as his legs would take him. His paws gripped into the dirt as he ran. His spotted pelt was covered with dirt, blood and dust. . His life was never easy but it was about to get alot worse. . He panted hard. The Savannah sun was directly over him. His heart beat was fast. Running on pure fear and the desire to stay free. He already tried to fight them off. Earning himself gashes and dog bites. He knew he only had a minute or two till his body would collapse. He knew he couldn't run forever. Due to being half cheetah, his speed put a distance between him and the hunters. But his stamina could only only last so long. . . . His breathing was out of wack and his legs started to stop responding. His eyes were lidded as he struggled to stay up. . . . He felt his legs give out as he tripped. It was over. He laid on the ground, trying to catch his breath. It seemed to escape his lungs every time. He could hear them getting closer. He didn't want to give up. He couldn't give up. Not now. Everything he's been though couldn't be wasted on this. With the last bit of strength he had; he stood up. Legs trembling. Heart racing. Teeth bared. It took everything in him not to collapse but he wouldn't let himself. He saw the hunters. There was at least four hunters with their hounds, standing 30 feet away. He knew they were stronger.
