At the Ever After Academy children of fairytales go to school to learn how to be the perfect next well, whatever they're supposed to be. The appeal of the school? When you sign the Storybook of Ages, you're told who your soulmate is. No one has ever questioned the system- No one before Astrid. How could every single person get the person they're destined to be with as their soulmate? As the next Cupid, it was supposed to be Astrid's job to make sure the soulmate system worked flawlessly.
