Note: please don't read that if you don't want to suffer through episode 24 again. This is a inner monologue of Ash while sitting in the public library after meeting with Blanca at the park but before Ash reads Eiji's letter. There will be a second part of this after reading Eiji's letter (he won't die I promise). It's like a prequel to my other story Another missed flight. Sorry, I needed that to cope with chapter 24 and some people kept pestering me about publishing it so I had no choice ... I wrote that to understand Ash's reasoning. Note that I had to pretend that Eiji told him some things directly and Ash just repeats what Eiji told him because Ash would never think or believe them about himself (like that he has a pure soul etc.) Call that relative freedom. Happy suffering ! Please don't hate me 😅

This story is inspired by Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. But you'll understand the story even if you haven't read the book (or watched some movie). It's a story where three ghosts visit Ash in his dreams to show him his past, present and future, so he can finally be happy with Eiji. Of course it has a happy ending, some romance and... much more. I can't tell you everything😜

Eiji wants to surprise Ash for his birthday. But Ash notices Eiji's strange behavior and gets suspicious. What will happen when he finds out Eiji is hiding something from him and he stubbornly refuses to tell him why? Will Ash leave? Or trust Eiji? And what if he finds proof that Eiji wants him to leave? Hint: There will be a kissing scene ❤️

An alternative ending where Eiji saves Ash at the last minute before bleeding out. Since he's powerless in a wheelchair he has help, of course.
