Dragons exist. Kotessir was created to annihilate them.
But when he encounters fiery female Isylith, he wages a mental war against the two halves of himself.
Can he fend off the instinct to kill dragons, which was placed in his mind by the alchemist who created him?
Or will he give in and destroy her, and the rest of the dragons who still live?
As well as this, there is trouble between humans and mythical creatures, a violent and possibly unstoppable foe, and a council of stony Elders to deal with.
Can Kotessir take the pressure?
