After five years of not talking to each other, they're partnered in a project and Phil's wants to win Dan over just like he has with most of their year. But yet, Dan is determined to find out what Phil is hiding behind his arrogant mask.

Dan, being a popular kid, doesn't usually pay attention to Phil, his polar opposite, and is focussed on his reputation. Gerard is a psychopath. Actually he is more of a smartass sociopath, but really he just doesn't give a shit. Now he's on the run, after breaking bonds with everyone who stood by his side he's running and he is running with only one possession, a locket. But nobody knows what it means, not even Frank. Then again all Frank cares about is Gerard. And the hope that maybe Gerard will love him, one day, although he knows it won't happen. I'm not going to warn every chapter because this book is just a trigger warning in general ngl, the only thing it doesn't have is drugs and alcohol I guess.

With many twists and turns, their stories are becoming more complex by the second. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. But of course, on one fateful morning in December, that has to go and change, doesn't it? (Technically a sequel to Summertime, but I wouldn't say you need to have read Summertime to understand and enjoy this)
