He gets sent to public school, which is seemingly a lot harder for him than he originally thought when his brother had explained it to him. In the end, it doesn't turn out so bad once he meets Frank Iero.

Gee is devastated after the death of his boyfriend, Frank. It's been two months and he's still not over it, not a bit. It's like the tears just never stop falling down his cheeks. But Frank comes back again. Gee is so happy to have his daddy back that he doesn't even question where he comes from.

Frank Iero is thrown onto the streets when he's just a kid. But he's found by a lady who takes him in. She raises him like her own son, which she already has two of. Gerard and Mikey become good friends with Frankie, kind of like the brothers Frank's never had, until Gerard starts to develop feelings for the smaller boy.
